Over the past year, ALICE has undergone many changes, including an acquisition by ASG, bringing on the highest number of new hires we’ve ever had, and beginning to shift back to in-person conferences and events.

Needless to say, we had a lot to be grateful for this holiday season.

We wanted to donate to causes worldwide that were important to ALICE employees. As a result, the first annual ALICE Gives Back campaign was born. In this initiative, every charitable donation made to non-profits in December by team members was personally matched 100% by our CEO Jason Luo, EVP of People Lisa Sholkin, and Chief Strategy Officer Sam Evers.

ALICErs raised a grand total of approximately $2,240, which amounted to over $4,480 total when matched. Some of the organizations we donated to were:

  • Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research
  • Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research
  • Cranio Care Bears which provides care packages to families of children facing surgery for craniosynostosis
  • Cycle for Survival: Memorial Sloan Kettering to support research for rare cancers and support one of our employees, Justine, who be cycling
  • Be a Mentor which enables youth to develop positive relationships with caring adults who empower them to reach their full potential through mentorship
  • American Brain Tumor Association for brain cancer research
  • Metavivor for Metastatic Breast Cancer Research, Support, and Awareness
  • Bold Idea, with the mission of helping students from all backgrounds in Texas discover computer science through hands-on learning and mentoring by industry professionals, building critical thinking skills and equipping students to succeed
  • The Virginia Home which provides compassionate and professional residential care to adult Virginians with irreversible physical disabilities.
  • Red Autismo which is a non-profit organization located in Mexico that aims to provide specialized care for children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
  • Casa1 which strives to provide a welcoming space and resources for the LGBTQIAP+ population in Brazil
  • …and sent a basket of goods to NYC Public Schools during their holiday drive

Nothing feels better than giving back. Happy New Year, ALICERs.
