ALICE, the hospitality industry's leading operations technology platform, celebrates Manuel Ramon as Director of Sales for Mexico, overseeing hotel partners in the Mexican Caribbean, Baja Region, and Mexico City.
Manuel started his journey with ALICE in May of 2018, following increased sales demand after the company’s acquisition of concierge technology provider GoConcierge in September 2017. With increased traction over the past year, ALICE’s salesforce and partnerships are increasing rapidly in Mexico and Latin America. Manuel is currently driving this new market expansion, working with properties new to using an integrated platform like ALICE. “It has been a very exciting project because many of the hotels we are approaching are totally new to this kind of technology,” notes Manuel.
With 10 solid years of experience in hotel operations/management across various properties in Europe, US, and Mexico, Manuel is working with ALICE to expand the potential of the industry in the Mexico territories. As the growth of the Latin American market increases, so does competition amongst these properties. “Many hotels in Mexico are already starting to realize the benefits that can be acquired by using technology as an ally when it comes to the guest experience,” says Manuel. “Technology optimization gives these properties an edge against new competition, and differentiates them through an elevated guest experience. There is a lot of opportunity for new partnerships here.”
From an operations perspective, Manuel is aware of how integral these tools are in creating a seamless experience not only for the guest but also for staff. “Coming from an operational background I see the potential that the ALICE Platform can provide for the industry; this is a tool that would have been very useful when I was an operations manager and I truly see the value in it!” he reflects.
Manuel holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Hospitality, as well as a Swiss Hotel Association Diploma (SHA) from Les Roches International School of Hotel Management in Bluche, Switzerland. Among his prior achievements, he co-founded Zermatt Solution - a consultancy agency dedicated to help boutique/independent hotels create clear pricing strategies as well as yield management techniques in order to increase their occupancy and revenue. He loves sports, and has just started training for his first Triathlon (March 2019).
